Ocular Prosthesis or Artificial Eye
The art of making an Ocular ProsthesisAn Artificial eye (also known as Prosthetic eye or Fake Eye) is a type of prosthesis which is used to restore the appearance of a missing eye and avoid any unwanted changes inside the eye socket. our Prosthetic eye is created uniquely for every person. They are fitted and painted to maximize the appearance and color of the prosthesis, making them look similar as possible to the original eye. How are Artificial Eyes made? Using high quality raw materials, the fitting starts by initially fitting a conformer shell to the patients eye socket. The objective is to get the healthiest and most comfortable shape the patient can wear. The next step is to paint the Prosthetic Eye.
We believe that every person's eye is different, especially when it comes to the color of the eye. In this step, Dr. Paroli will personally paint the prosthetic eye to somehow get a close color to the original eye of the patient. And lastly, it will be polished smoothly for a comfortable finish.
