Mark Paroli, OD
Dr. Mark Paroli is a graduate of Doctor of Optometry in Centro Escolar University, one of the leading schools in Optometry in the Philippines. Aside from general Optometry, it is during his time there, where he initially learned the basics in the art of creating Ocular Prosthesis.
After graduating last 2012, aside from being one of the Optometrists of Soliman Paroli Optical, Dr. Mark Paroli became one of the Optometry Volunteers of Resources for the Blind, inc(RBI).
RBI, a Non-profit NGO, trained him in examining Low Vision Children and help them maximize their remaining vision through Low Vision Rehabilitation. He still continuously volunteer as a Low Vision Optometrist, and at the same time, certified by RBI as one of their trainers where he conducts lectures to Optometry interns and professionals.
Two years after graduating in Centro Escolar University, Dr. Mark Paroli has undergone formal training in Ocular Prosthesis under Paul Geelen, one of the founding members of the Ocularist Association of Australia.
Dr. Mark Paroli has seen hundreds of patients with Prosthetic Eye and is continuously aiming to improve the design of his work.
Last 2019, Dr. Mark Paroli has finished his Masters in Business Administration at the Ateneo de Manila University - Graduate School of Business, one of the leading business schools in the country.
He is currently the manager of Operations of their family business, Soliman Paroli Eyecare, with a company vision of being the most trusted Eyecare Provider in Central Luzon.
Aside from Ocular Prosthesis, Dr. Mark Paroli is an advocate of Low Vision and various Myopia Control methods in children, particularly, Orthokeratology.
He created and currently runs www.artificialeye.ph, a website aimed to be a Prosthetic Eye resource site for Filipinos, created by a Filipino.
