"Having an Artificial Eye is a big help, especially in my class. I am a teacher and it benefits me."
A Teacher, for me, is one of the most noble profession a person can take. In fact, most of the professionals out there would not be where they are if a Teacher did not touch their lives. They are a vital component in building a society, by sharing and passing down what they know.
This is a Story of a Teacher from the Philippines who uses an Artificial Eye ever since she was 3 years old. she finds that the Prosthesis. She lost her eye due to a traumatic accident when she was still a child, and has experienced negative opinions, as well as criticism, growing up. See how an Artificial Eye had helped her and how it affected her daily life as a Teacher. PS: God Bless to all the Teachers out there!
"One of my eyes got blinded when I was 3 years old. I was playing back then with my brother when he accidentally shot(poked) my eye by a barbecue stick.
For me, living with one eye is difficult, it's not easy to have this disability. It affected a lot to me, you have to adjust and accept all the negative opinions from another people, as well as their criticisms about me. (When asked about how she felt when she got her new Eye) I felt happy when i got it and got changed after so many years passed. Having an Artificial Eye is a big help especially in my class, I am a teacher and it benefits me. and also, by wearing an Artificial Eye, it hides my visual impairment."

Hi!
I'm Perla, I lost my left eye when I was a kid and accidentally, my sister hit my eye with a stick. From there, I lost my eyesight that gave me a big shame, low self esteem, and it was hard for me to communicate because of my condition and I never feel like a normal person like others. It's been a long time of suffering, 23 years almost until I've found one good Samaritan who helped me to have a Prosthetic Eye. When I received my New Eye, I felt so very lucky and bless because I can act now as a normal person and communicate well as I'm doing today and my children were proud to see me in my new eye. For now, I just want to thank Dr. Mark Paroli for restoring my Prosthetic Eye again. |
